In Reading investment news PATRIZIA AG the leading partner for global real assets, acting on behalf of its institutional clients, has invested in Build-to-Rent in Reading. Haslams is pleased to share that as part of this investment, we have been working closely alongside Campbell Gordon as the commercial advisors.
The scheme, known as Olivers Place, is set adjacent to the River Kennet moments from the town centre and will deliver a total of 281 Build to Rent apartments. Olivers Place is part of the ground-breaking Huntley Wharf development, built by Berkeley Homes to their awarding-winning exacting standards and residents are scheduled to begin to move into the scheme in 2024.
Speaking about the investment, Mike Shearn Haslams COO says:
“We were delighted to have worked alongside Campbell Gordon in an advisory role on the successful project team. We were able to use our considerable knowledge, experience and insights of the Reading marketplace to put a winning bid together.”
The scheme will provide highly desirable riverside living and residents will have access to a selection of new on-site amenities, including a landscaped podium garden, concierge service and co-working studio. Mike Shearn continues:
“Huntley Wharf is a fantastic site and the product is exceptional as you wold expect. Sales there have already set new value benchmarks for Reading and we are confident that Patrizia’s build-to-rent offering will be similarly successful.”
The Huntley Wharf development and the BTR scheme of Olivers Place references the fantastic history of the Huntley & Palmers biscuit factory of the past, taking its name from the Chocolate Olivers biscuit, once produced in Reading. Located under a kilometre from the mainline train station and the vibrant town centre, the homes benefit from close connections to London and beyond. The imminent arrival of the Elizabeth Line will also provide high speed travel to Bond Street and Canary Wharf. Olivers Place is a fantastic new BTR development which takes a location steeped in history, well into the future.
