We are thrilled to share that our MD, Steve Woodford has been given the accolade of the Outstanding Contribution Award at the Business Magazine Thames Valley Property Awards last night.

Steve has been the custodian of Haslams Estate Agents for over 27 years after establishing his career in the industry, and has become a hugely respected mentor, business partner and esteemed figure in the wider Reading area.

Steve is not only passionate about Haslams which, under his guidance, has grown significantly over the years, but he has also created a culture in which Haslams continually supports the community in which we live and work.

Speaking about the award, Steve shared:

I’m surprised and flattered to be chosen as the recipient of the Outstanding Contribution Award. I’ve been in the property industry for over 30 years with many ups and downs, particularly in the last year, but this is definitely a fantastic highlight, which I am very grateful for.

The Judges shared some wonderful comments about why they chose Steve as the recipient of the award:

The winner of this year’s award has been a mainstay of the Reading and Thames Valley residential property market for many years. Haslams Estate Agents has been dominant in the Reading residential market in recent years due in no small part to his enthusiasm and market presence. Steve’s grasp of the market is second to none and no one has anything like his appetite and expertise in collating and navigating the market through statistics and trends. He is also a hugely likeable, honest and straightforward person and a real pleasure to do business with.

Our Young Person in Property finalist, Megan Eighteen, was on hand to thankfully accepted the award on Steve’s behalf and capture the special event, which took place at Ascot Racecourse.
